βYin yoga is a quiet, contemplative practice for all ages of adults. It uses longer held seated poses and gravity to target the deep connective tissues of the body. This is a contrast to the more dynamic yang yoga practices, such as Vinyasa, which target the muscles. The benefits of yin include increased calm, flexibility and energy, reduced stress, improved sleep, fosters self-love, self-discovery, and releases stored emotions.
