Who doesn’t like choices?!
Springs in Bloom!

Join us every 3rd Sunday of the month at the Titcomb Rd Parking lot off of Matchett Rd (Across from the Ojibway Nature Centre) to explore the rare species of Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park and/or the largest protected remnants of Ontario’s native prairie in Ojibway Prairie Provincial Nature Reserve.

Enjoy the rare wildflowers that may be in season in the Tallgrass Prairie! Featured is one of Canada’s only known home of Tall Green Milkweed, or search for Slender Bush Clover, a plant once thought to have been extirpated from Canada! Ladies’ Tresses Orchids are also a must see in bloom! And just a quick shout out to the Double-Striped Bluet and Pronghorn Clubtail dragonflies, provincially rare butterflies, Red-bellied snake… and, gosh that doesn’t even cover it!

Start or continue your walk in Ojibway Prairie Provincial Nature Reserve to experience a rare sight! Here you’ll discover what it was like when a great expanses of these prairies covered much of Ontario’s West and Southwest.

Get out and explore Essex County Nature! All are welcome!
