Matt & Ben

Picture this: interior, Ben's apartment. Centre stage, we have a sofa; on one side there’s a desk with a computer, mostly untouched; on the other, various junk food. And Ben. Yes, Ben. THE Ben Affleck, quickly joined by THE Matt Damon. And that's when it happens!
BAM!

Ghostlight Players is proud to present “Matt & Ben” by Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers, a cheeky retelling of the time when Hollywood’s Golden Boys Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote Good Will Hunting. Starring Róisín Hamilton and Sandra Tena, and directed by Jessie Millson, we are delighted to continue our tradition of continuous collaborations with previous cast members – much like Matt & Ben!

This amateur production of “Matt & Ben” is presented by arrangement with Concord
Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk Originally produced Off-Broadway by Victoria Lang & Pier Paolo Piccoli, Stephen Pevner & Jason Hsiao.

Matt Damon – Róisín Hamilton
Experienced actor and writer with a CV that includes ‘From Harvest to High Seas’ with Sour Lemon Productions and ‘Slash Her’ with CakeHorse Productions. She attended the Bristol Old Vic Young Company in 2022. Róisín is an actor for The Bristol Shakespeare Festival In-House Company, having performed as Brutus in ‘Julius Caesar: The Musical’ at Edinburgh Fringe in 2023. She also wowed many an audience member this Autumn in 'Rishikesh' by Boogie Nachts Theatre, the BFS's "High School Never Ends', and BSF's 'Anthony and Cleopatra: The Musical'.
Ro is currently working on a collection of short spooky stories, some of which she has recently performed as part of Terror in Turtlenecks with Boogie Nachts Theatre. Ro was our very own Fabian in our February production of Twelfth Night, and we are more than delighted to have her back in our cast!

Ben Affleck – Sandra Tena

Actress, model and writer, you can usually find her modelling for one of the many art groups and classes in Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset, or performing a musical show in care homes around the same areas.

Sandra is co-founder and co-Director of Ghostlight Players, with a CV which spans from Shakespeare to Pantomime, including short films and various indie projects. She has been shortlisted in national and international competitions for her short stories and poetry, and recently won second place for The Victorian Dinosaur Shopping Centre.

She was most recently our Lady Olivia in Twelfth Night in February, as well as Producer.

Director & Tech – Jessie Millson
Prolific director, playwright and sometime muppet, we at Ghostlight Players are utterly delighted to work with Jessie for the first time of hopefully many! She has such jewels as directing The Emu War, and writing Options, Hardly Working and The Pressure Cooker under her belt. Jessie works as head writer for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has an MA in Playwriting from Bristol Old Vic, and we can’t wait to show you her vision for Matt & Ben!
