First Friday: “In the Making” by Juniper Students

Art gives us room to breathe, to imagine, to hope. For many of the young artists featured in “In the Making”, that space has been hard to come by.
This exhibition highlights the creative voices of youth in foster care who have spent much of their lives focused on just getting through each day. In these works, we see what is possible when survival begins to give way to creativity, connection, and vision. Each piece on display reveals voice, growth, and the quiet strength it takes to dream beyond survival. By exhibiting works in progress alongside finished pieces, we honor the beauty of the process and the truth that becoming is ongoing.
This is a celebration of transformation, agency, and the power of art to make space for something new.
Every piece in this show reveals that our students are not stuck. They're shaping.
They're becoming.
They are artists.
They are full of possibility.
They are still in the making.
