π Little Grimley Presents... Chaos, Comedy & Community Theatre π
Hosted by Gemco Players Community Theatre
π Gemco Theatre, Emerald VIC
π 18th to 27th July
The local theatre company is in crisis.
Membership: four.
Talent: questionable.
Budget: non-existent.
Morale: last seen fleeing the building.
But in true dramatic fashion β theyβre putting on a show anyway!
Join us for a night of laughs with the Little Grimley comedy series β a cheeky, heartfelt look at amateur theatre, egos gone wild, and the desperate quest to βsave the company!β
These classic British one-act comedies by David Tristram are a love letter to community theatre β full of ridiculous plots, theatrical disasters, and characters youβll instantly recognise (and probably relate to).
This is community theatre at its most gloriously disastrous. Expect:
π¬ Plays within plays
π· Wine at interval (we all need it)
π Questionable acting decisions
π₯ Explosions (probably not real ones)
π Laughs, chaos, and more backstage drama than an actual soap opera
COME IF YOU LOVE:
βοΈ Theatre folk behaving badly
βοΈ Awkward on-stage silences
βοΈ Stubborn lighting cues
βοΈ Laughing until you snort
Grab your mates, your mum, your ex who still thinks they shouldβve played the lead, and come support a cast brave enough to perform without a safety net (or adequate rehearsal time).
π» Book now before someone cancels the show to become a wedding celebrant.
π· Bar open before the show and at both intermissions
Gather your fellow theatre lovers, your drama teacher, or that one friend who always ends up doing props β and join us for a night of community spirit and comic mayhem.
