◆5-6 PM | Film screenings and discussion. Howard E. Wooden Auditorium
◆ As we celebrate the final weekend of Homeward to the Prairie I Come: Gordon Parks Photographs from the Beach Museum of Art, help us honor Parks’ legacy with a celebration of three Black filmmakers who call Wichita home. Maliq Little (Leak Productions), Angelo Garibaldi (Humble Greatness Studios), and Troy Andrews (DrewVision Cinema) will discuss their careers, the local videography and editing business, and their filmmaking styles as they share recent projects. WAM would like to thank Maliq Little, who created the community interpretation video on view in the exhibition, for organizing this program! Join us for screenings of films you can’t find anywhere else, and bring your questions–even ideas for a commission. Don’t miss this opportunity to support local voices.
◆ Don’t miss your chance to see “Homeward to the Prairie I Come: Gordon Parks Photographs from the Beach Museum of Art”—on view free of charge during this special Saturday evening event. ◆
