� Bonsai Demonstration – Learn the Art in Action! �
Ever wondered how an ordinary plant becomes a beautiful bonsai?
Join us for two free Bonsai Demonstrations by the Albuquerque Bonsai Club where they will walk us through the process of transforming nursery stock into living art!
� Dates & Times:
� Sunday, July 20 at 10:00 AM
� Saturday, July 26 at 10:00 AM
� What to Expect:
We’ll start with a basic 1- or 5-gallon nursery juniper and talk through the steps of evaluating the tree, going over what to keep, what to cut, and why. You'll hear a running dialogue as we clean up the plant, consider the nine traditional bonsai styles, and make decisions in real time.
� Live Work Will Include:
Trimming and pruning
Wiring branches to reshape the tree
Choosing a direction for long-term development
� While almost any plant can become a bonsai, we’ll focus on junipers for their flexibility and fast results. We’ll also have some more advanced trees on display to show what comes next!
