Our Friday night Shanty sessions bringing a smile to everyone’s night. Have you given it a go?
The TasMen Shanty Crew sing fortnightly and are open to anyone who identifies as being men over the age of 18. We meet at the Kingston Beach Community Hall (on Beach Rd, Kingston Beach) every 2nd Friday from 6:30 to 8:30. We charge $10 per session to help us cover the cost of hall hire and we provide tea/coffee/bikkies for our break halfway through the session. Let us know if this is out of reach for you and BYO mug.
We are a pretty informal group. Absolutely no singing ability needed. Any man can lead a Shanty. You can find our online song book

It’s great to just make a noise with other men (and sometimes we sound pretty good), face the fear of leading a Shanty if that’s your thing and get to know some other men. We don’t perform, but who knows what the future will bring.
