Ceremony Odalan Dukuh Mengku (Aci Kaulu - 8th month)

The ceremony of the eighth month on the TDT calendar. The ‘anniversary’ [odalan] of Dukuh Mengku (also called Rambut Tiding), a very old temple in the woods. This name literally means: the priest’s hamlet. It is said to be a place of meditation used by the ancestors. The atmosphere of the place is very special, surrounded by a beautiful forest. There is a temple and an animist altar.
