Walking is better with good company! Meet in the parking lot at the Sharon Audubon Center (325 Cornwall Bridge Road, Sharon CT) entrance for a hike on the Hendrickson Bog Meadow Trail and Oak Trail (approx 1.6 miles) through woods, along a pond edge, and back along an old overgrown pasture. Keep an eye (and ear) out for the Chestnut-sided Warbler, Ovenbird, and Wood Thrush, among other neotropical migratory birds, that breed in these woods each summer.
Bring your own bottled water and be sure to take proper precautions to guard against ticks; bug spray, a hat, long pants, and tucked shirts are recommended.
