John Perry is a retired Wellington history teacher and retired army officer who specializes in the study of the American combat soldier. He has been a re-enactor since 1974, focusing on the Civil War era, but has also re-created other time periods, including both world wars and the American Revolution. He is a life-long collector of American army uniforms, weapons, and equipment from all time periods. John has also been involved with numerous military history and veterans organizations, museums, and Civil War round tables, and has given numerous presentations on the life of the American soldier.
