Race to Recovery Trail Run

Join us for a meaningful morning at Walnut Creek Park in Indian Land, SC, for the Race to Recovery Trail Run. This FREE family-friendly event features a scenic trail run through the Carolina Thread Trail or walk through the paved paths of Walnut Creek Park, suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely stroll, come together with our community to shine a light on the opioid crisis and promote hope, healing, and awareness. The event is free to participate in, but all donations are welcomed and will go to Corey's Love, a nonprofit founded in memory of Corey Brandon Montgomery, who tragically lost his life to addiction on March 13, 2023, at the age of 23.
Every day, 220 lives are lost to overdose in the U.S. And while not all overdoses are fatal, they still leave deep scars.
Too often, those who survive are met with silence, stigma, or shame. But they are not broken. They are human—fighting battles most of us will never know. They need the support of a community that believes in their ability to recover.
Join us as we run to remember, to support, and to bring hope.
For lives lost. For lives saved. For every story still being written.
