Adoption Event at Petsmart

We will be out at Petsmart with dogs looking for homes. During these events, we offer dogs as foster-only. Potential adopters will fill out paperwork and upon review will be qualified to go ahead and take the dog home. During the next week, we check your references from your application. If all looks well, you will be approved for adoption within the week that you are fostering. This also gives you time to get to know the dog and make sure that this dog is a good fit for your home and any other family members that may be in it (human and animal alike). At the end of the week trial, if you would like to adopt then we proceed with adoption. If you need more time, we extend the foster trial. If you do not feel that the dog is going to work out, we simply bring the dog back into the shelter with zero judgement. Adoption is a big decision and we want everyone to be comfortable in it. We will have your approved application on file and we are happy to help you find a dog that fits your needs and lifestyle if you are still considering adoption.
