Sun 8/17, Re-make, Re-purpose, Re-use Week: Intro to Hand Embroidery & Take Home Kit

Learn the basics of contemporary embroidery with Hilary. She will show you 4 different stitching techniques (satin, split, chain and back stitching) as you make a sampler to get you on your way to creating one of a kind embroideries. Learn about image transfer and finishing techniques as well. Each student will leave with a kit that includes embroidery threads, a needle, a small hoop and everything you need to continue what you learned at home or ready to tackle embroidery patterns.
