Cowboys Helping Texans: Bull Teams Buck for a Cause at LCSP Arena
Get ready for a high-octane afternoon of bull riding and heartfelt community support as the Lee County Sheriff’s Posse partners with Diamond Cross Rodeo Company to host the “Cowboys Helping Texans” Bull Team Event on Sunday, October 12 at the LCSP Arena.
Set against the backdrop of cowboy grit and small-town unity, this event promises a powerful mix of adrenaline and compassion. Between 15 to 20 elite bull teams will descend on the arena, each gunning for glory and a share of the money. With a $1,500 team entry fee and $300 drag, the stakes are high, and so is the competition. There’s also $5000 added up for grabs to the top bull rider.
The afternoon kicks off with a Calcutta at 2:00 PM, giving fans a chance to back their favorite teams in a classic rodeo tradition. Then at 4:00 PM, the chutes fly open for the main event, showcasing some of the toughest bulls and bravest riders in the region.
But the action goes deeper than dust and spurs. This year’s event is riding with purpose. Proceeds will go to support families affected by the devastating July 4 flood, helping rebuild lives and restore hope throughout the area.
