Please join The AWARE Foundation and family and friends of Brenda Lambert as we raise awareness for Brenda's disappearance. July 26, 2025, will mark the 33rd anniversary of Brenda's disappearance. Brenda deserves justice. We request that the media please attend this event. The event will be held near the Grant's Supermarket in Bluewell, WV.
Brenda Gail Lambert was last seen at 9 p.m. at her residence off Rt 7 (Windmill Hill Rd) in Bluefield, WV on July 26, 1992, the day of her son’s 1st birthday party. All of her belongings, including her car and the clothes she was wearing that day, were left at home. Brenda had filed a domestic violence complaint a week earlier but had contacted authorities on July 10 to drop the petition. Loved ones say she had previously been choked/strangled. Five months after vanishing, Brenda’s friend, Mark Anthony Cook, also went missing. Authorities believe foul play is involved in both cases. Brenda has a birthmark on the back of her leg and a one-inch scar on her right wrist; her ears are pierced. If you have any information, contact the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office at 304-487-8364.
