Join us on a deep dive exploring original garments of the Georgian and Regency period from Bankfield Museum’s textile collection. Investigating construction and sewing techniques and unveiling the secrets that clothes can reveal about the maker and wearer through close examination.
Gemma is a social historian with a love for fashion history and a historical reenactor with an interest in the 19th century. Currently she is a curator at Calderdale Museums looking after the fashion and textile collection at Bankfield Museum. Recently she curated the exhibition, Costume Drama, with iconic costumes from popular TV series and movies plus originals from the museum collection.
