The session provides NHC Judoka additional opportunity to train and increase their volume of Randori, which is the fundamental training unit of Performance Judo and the long-term development of GB’s future elite fighters towards future Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Area session will help deliver against three key areas:
• A clear need to increase “Time on Task” and increase randori volume.
• Supplementing what a fighter’s club training can provide.
• Increase the opportunity to do more judo training.
The session will be led by Martin Rance, 5th Dan (NHC Area Technical and Coaching Lead), and supported by Coaches within the Northern Home Counties Area. Supporting coaches wishing to deliver feedback to any fighters on the mat, must be on the mat in judogi for the session.
