ππ‘π ππ«π²π¨-π π’π π‘π! is a collaborative community art project exploring the overlooked beauty and modest strength of mosses, liverworts, and hornworts.
Bryophytes (the collective name for mosses, liverworts and hornworts) play a big role in supporting ecosystems, contributing to soil formation, water retention, and biodiversity. Just like these fascinating, ancient plants, humans flourish in communities that nurture and support one another. This project invites participants to reflect on themes of mutual care, adaptability, and collective strength- what can we learn from bryophytes?
At the Create and Connect sessions, we will invite you to help transform the intricate beauty of these often-overlooked organisms into creative works of art.
The submitted art will be exhibited later in the year, joined together to form our very own moss community- a patchwork of creativity, care and connection. All mediums are welcome, for example embroidery/textile based, poetry/story writing, painting, drawing, whatever you enjoy working with!
