Firewoodisland is the work of Norwegian/Welsh musicians and songwriters Stian Vedøy and Abi Eleri. Based in Bristol, the indie folk pop duo have built a reputation for their emotive, intricate and cinematic sound and stunning vocal harmonies.
Whether with full band or as a duo, Firewoodisland have played stages like BBC introducing stage at Latitude, Headlined Between The Trees Festival, played main stage Beardy Folk and, second stage at Lakefest, main stage at Rochdale Feelgood Festival, two dozen Sofar Sounds shows, supported the likes of Kaiser Chiefs and Bear's Den and done multiple headline shows around the UK. They combine the vibrant melodies of pop, with organic folk instrumentation and a dreamy sonic landscape.
They have had national radio plays like BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Wales A-List; TV syncs like Grey's Anatomy, Shadowhunters, Nurses, Airbnb advert; a host of tastemaker press like Wonderland, Clash, Atwood, PopMatters, Folk Radio, Notion.
