We will be taking a look at the most revered attribute in bonsai- the exposed root flare, the junction to the bole and how they signify age and power in our trees.
Bring along any tree that has unusually powerful or intricate roots for us to admire.
Root on rock, root grasping rock, neagri style and Penjing style bonsai are all welcome!
Also, normal bonsai rules will apply- anything else in flower, at its best or Kusamono are encouraged.

The theme for August's meeting, the Ladies' Night, will be revealed. It promises to be a fun evening!
