Channel your inner warrior with family-friendly axe throwing. Ready to test your aim? Step up, take a deep breath, and hurl your axe!
Like the Vikings of Northumbria, choose your weapon and wield your axe. Practise technique, accuracy and strength, and whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned thrower, you’ll feel the rush of excitement as your axe lands with a satisfying thud.
Participants will be in small groups and take turns during the 30-minute timeslot.
Minimum age requirement 11+. Participants must dress according to the below requirements. All participants will be asked to sign a consent form at the start of the session.
Booking required, £3 per participant. Spectators and supervising adults do not need to purchase a ticket. Normal admission also applies.
Please wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear and ensure that arms and legs are covered. Those not dressed suitably will be unable to take part, and we’re unable to offer refunds in this case.
The event takes place on a grassy field. There is a sloped paved incline up to the field, and a grassy medium-decline down into the field. If you have any questions about accessibility please email Y3Jvb2toYWxsZ2FyZGVucyB8IG5hdGlvbmFsdHJ1c3QgISBvcmcgISB1aw==.
Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank and supported by Sport England.
