Have a go at spinning with natural fibre and learn about preparation and drafting using either a drop spindle or working alongside a wheel with one of our experts. Spinning wheel techniques will be demonstrated by Guild members.
The Kennet Valley Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers was formed in 1977 and has a growing membership of 80. Our members are dedicated to a range of textile skills, that include core skills in weaving, spinning and dyeing, with associated crafts such as braiding, knitting, lace-making and more. Experience ranges from beginner to expert and new members are always welcome to join our group of enthusiasts. The Guild meets once a month at St. Maryβs Church Hall, Greenham. https://www.kennet-valley-guild.com
These workshops are suitable for adults and children (accompanied by an adult).
