As a supplementary production to Dunstable Rep’s upcoming 25/26 season, the same creative team that brought you Dunstable Rep’s highly successful and well received production of the RSC’s ‘Wendy & Peter Pan’ in 2024, will be staging the classic ‘The Snow Queen’ by Ron Nicol (based on the original story by Hans Christian Anderson).
This promises to be a very exciting theatrical experience for cast, creative and audiences alike – we look forward to seeing you at the auditions at The Little Theatre, Dunstable on Wednesday 16th July at 7.45pm or (for those who cannot make 16th) we are holding 2nd auditions on Saturday 19th July from 10.30am.
Overview:
A dramatisation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story “The Snow Queen”.
Gerda, a young girl, searches for her friend Kai when he’s kidnapped by the Snow Queen. With the help of a Crow and a Reindeer, Gerda travels to the Far North, where she confronts the Snow Queen in her ice palace and endeavours to release Kai.
This one-act play is very much ensemble-driven and there will be plenty of opportunities for those who are cast to enjoy plenty of stage time. We invite any ages (over 12) to audition as we need a balance of adults and youth, in order to make this work the way the creative team have envisioned it.
