𖦹 About the group Chmara

They sing old songs rooted in memory - from the voice, from the body. They are the cloud and are fascinated by the enchantments in ancient melodies. They are united by their love for polyphony. They believe that voice builds community and awakens what is dormant. In songs and vocal improvisations they find their own room.

Aleksandra Zawłocka - Lead Singer

She uses the voice with an holistic approach in her own method. Graduated from the Gardzienice Academy of Theatre Practices, she collaborates with the Szlakiem Starych Drzew project and was the vocalist of the band Żywiołak (album Dekontrukcja historyczna 2022). She also took part in other collaborations, for example, Wataha Drums (Qube performance), Teresa Mirga, Karolina Skrzyńska (vocals on the album Finger on the Water), Thiasos Theatre Company (Bacchae directed by Yana Sistovari, MJ Coldiron) and Choir in Contact. She leads a regular women's singing group.
