Bannockburn Community Church - Worship Service & Hymn Sing - July 20, 2025

For our summer Sunday service this week we welcome Rev. Paul Ivany. After 30 years as the lead minister at Norval United Church in Georgetown, Paul retired on July 1, 2023. Paul is the fourth generation connected to Muskoka. His great-grandfather bought a cottage on Lake Muskoka in 1918. Paul first preached at Bannockburn in 2005.

Our special music will be provided by Ian Davies. Ian sings bass in London-based choirs - Canadian Celtic Choir & London Pro Musica. In 2024 Ian was inducted into the London Music Hall of Fame for Lifetime Achievement. Ian's Muskoka roots go back to 1925 when his grandfather, Reg Whittemore, bought land on Acton Island and built the family cottage there in 1926.

Bannockburn Community Church is an interdenominational church - all are welcome. We look forward to hosting a different spiritual leader each Sunday at Bannockburn Community Church this summer and sharing our faith together in the little church under the trees, by the lake.
