We're excited to present a captivating program in celebration of animated storytelling. Co-Sponsored by Springworks Festival, The Art of Stop Motion is a curated program showcasing the beauty, creativity, and emotional depth of stop-motion animation. We invite you to explore this curious intersection between film and puppetry. The 75-minute program features eight eclectic international films: including six award-winning and visually stunning animated shorts, spanning from 1977 to 2024, and two engaging short documentaries.
POST-SCREENING talk with Eileen Smith, Festival Director of SpringWorks Festival and with a representative from the Stratford Perth Museum who will speak about their new long-string marionette exhibit Till The Curtains Rise. Moderated by SFF Festival Director, Megan Smith-Harris.
