Community Build Celebration

This Friday kicks off our community building workshop, run by the Timber Framers Guild from July 18-25 right here at The Wayside Inn. The Guild is constructing a handcrafted timber-framed
open pavilion. It's a celebration of craftsmanship, learning, and community.
Visitors are welcome anytime during the workshop to watch the frame take shape and meet the Guild's expert instructors, who are on-site guiding participants through this centuries-old craft. Whether you're a longtime fan of traditional woodworking or simply curious, it's free to observe, and all are welcome!
Looking to roll up your sleeves and join in? On Friday, July 25, everyone in the community is invited to pick up a mallet and leave a lasting mark (literally). For a $25 donation, you can engrave
your name on a wooden peg and drive it into the frame yourself. For a $20 donation, you can take home a commemorative Timber Framers Guild t-shirt. (Or save a few bucks by doing both!)
That same day, community members will have a chance to help raise the pavilion in an all-hand-on-deck finale to the workshop. We will have Juliana's Catering mobile pizza oven and live music
from 4pm-8pm.
Rain or shine, the work will continue — and so will the fun. Don't miss out on this unique
opportunity to learn a new skill, meet incredible craftspeople, and take part in a one-of-a-kind
moment in The Wayside Inn's ongoing story.
