More Details:

The 2025 luncheon theme is America250, commemorating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. As the nation prepares for this historic milestone, Middle Smithfield Township is embracing the opportunity to connect national history to local stories. Residents are invited to share their memories, artifacts, and experiences that reflect their part in the American story—right here in the Poconos.

Danny Younger, local historian and longtime Middle Smithfield resident, will give a presentation on the township’s early days, including the significance of Fort Hyndshaw, constructed in 1756 during the French and Indian War. His talk will highlight how the community's history reflects the broader American journey.
