Directed by Andrew Landeros
Based on the book by William Golding adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams
Playing Dates
Oct 17, 2025 - Nov 1, 2025
Rehearsals begin August 12
This is the story of a group of British schoolboys who become stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash during a wartime evacuation. Without adult supervision, they attempt to create their own society, but the initial focus on rescue and order devolves into tribalism, hunting, and violence. The play explores the dark side of human nature and the fragility of civilization.
Audition information:
Our casting goal is one all female presenting cast and one all male presenting cast. Depending, however, on turn out at auditions, we may not be able to fill both casts.
You must be between the ages of 12 and 19 at the time of auditions.
Please note, there is a different location each audition day: Sat. Aug. 9 will be the Carolyn Owens Center, and Sun. Aug. 10 will be at the 7th Street Theatre. You need only attend one session.
If you would like to be considered for the role of Jack, Piggy, or Ralph, you must prepare a 30-60 second noncomedic monologue for your audition. This monologue should represent the auditioner as an individual. Auditions for all other roles will be through reading from scenes or monologues provided to you at auditions.
Please familiarize yourself with the story and characters prior to auditioning.
Callbacks will be held at the 7th Street Theatre at 5 pm on Monday, August 11.
All forms must be submitted at auditions. Please note that some of these forms require a parent signature if you are 17 or under.
All conflicts must be declared at the time of your audition.
