Afternoon, Cllr and Communities

Note that we will be doing pop -up registration of FBE (Free Basic Electricity) for communities that qualify.

The unemployed
Youth Person with disabilities
Military veterans
Child headed families
Senior Citizens
Displaced person

To Qualify
- Be a South African citizen
- Must reside within the city of Johannesburg Boundaries
- Be unemployed or have a monthly/access to financial resources not exceeding 7,503,01


The following document copies are required
- ID Copies
- Proof of income
- SASSA Card copy, Slip
- Bank statement (not later than 3 months)
- Proof of residence
- Pre-paid meter account number
- Affidavit for unemployed youth

Place : Memorial Park Maraisburg Cnr 9th Street & 8th Avenue

Please make proof of residents' letters available for residents.

Those who fail to turn up can go to the City Power offices and register from Monday to Friday.
