Greenfield 3rd Sat. Contra - The Moving Violations w/Ben Sachs-Hamilton (mask-optional)

The next 3rd Saturday contra dance with The Moving Violations at the Grange in Greenfield is Saturday, July 19. Ben Sachs-Hamilton will be calling (larks and robins). We'd love to see you there!

Timing: Doors open at 7:15, there's a newcomers workshop 7:30-8, and the dance is 8-11. The Grange is at 401 Chapman Street, Greenfield, Mass.

As a reminder, this is the *second-to-last* 3rd Saturday dance hosted by The Moving Violations. (Our last will be in August -- after which, the band looks forward to continuing to play for dances in the Northeast and around the country. We just won't be hosting a monthly Greenfield dance anymore after August.)

Masks are welcome but optional for all. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please stay home Saturday and join us next month. Additional Covid-related details are below.

Admission: $12-20 sliding scale ($10 for students and children, $8 for under 13) at the door – by cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal

Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, and other scented personal care products to the dance – thank you! Numerous dancers have let us know that others wearing scented products can cause medically serious allergic reactions for them, and we want everyone to be able to safely enjoy our dance.

Safety Policy Info: The Moving Violations’ Contra Dance (3rd Saturdays) strives to be a safe and inclusive place for all. Here are the highlights of our Safety Policy (with more details in our safety announcement early in the night, and also at https://tinyurl.com/TheMovingViolationsSafety):
- When someone asks you to dance, you can choose to say “yes” or “no,” with no explanation needed.
- Before dancing, please discuss any preferences or physical preferences/limitations with your partner.
- Dance in a way that’s comfortable for your partner and neighbors.
- If someone makes you feel physically or emotionally uncomfortable, let them know. If that isn't feasible or you need help, you can let a Safety Team member know (they'll be wearing a green ribbon, and identified during the safety announcement).
