Continuing Education Workshop: In-Depth Exploration of Relief Printmaking

Expand your printmaking knowledge and portfolios during this in-depth workshop with longtime printmaking instructor Doug Billings. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 23.
The workshop will also cover best practices to foster and construct creative activities that support student success in the classroom, the history and current status of original hand-pulled relief print, and the proper methods for conservation and exhibition of prints.
Participants will engage in several relief printmaking techniques, individually and in combination.
All experience levels are welcome. K-12 educators have the option to receive graduate-level credit.
Billings, who earned a Master of Fine Arts in printmaking from Wichita State University, established Mark Arts' printmaking program in 2002. In 2013, he founded and the Tallgrass Press Printmakers Association. He is also a member of the Boston Printmakers, the Society of American Graphic Artists, the American Color Print Society, the Philadelphia Print Club, and the American Print Alliance.
