Valentina Huang, the winner of the 62nd Round of the National Organ Playing Competition in 2024, will present an organ concert of varied works on the 1956 Aeolian-Skinner Organ in the beautiful FPC Sanctuary. Believing in the magic and joy that music can bring into peoples’ lives, Valentina is a passionate performer, collaborator, and teacher.
As a young advocate of the pipe organ, Valentina seeks to fuse her cultural heritage into this extraordinary instrument, through the exploration of new music on the organ. Currently she is a doctoral student under the tutelage of Prof. Ken Cowan at the Shepherd School of Music and is Associate Organist at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston.
The concert is free and open to the public!
