Maungatapere Mountain Trail Foray

We are going all the way to the top, so please pack your lunch! Meet at the carpark at 10am – parking is available in the car park next to the stockyards. It’s for users of the track but we need to close the gate when leaving.

This is a free foray for anyone who likes fungi. We're out looking for mushrooms and having a go at working out what genus and species they are. It’s a fun, relaxed ramble to see what we can see.

Bring yourself, sensible clothes/shoes (think mud and rain and cold), snacks/water, and your mushroom gear if you’re that way inclined – eg hand lens, mirror for looking under caps, field guide.

We'll leave fairly promptly but we'll be moving slowly so you should be able to find us even if you run late!
