BaySwim and Aquatic Survival Skills are collaborating to host a community-focused, fun, and educational event at Baywave in recognition of World Drowning Prevention Day. This event brings together local organizations dedicated to water safety and drowning prevention.
There will be in-pool activities, giveaways, and educational resources, walk the plank, small inflatables, lollies and more!
**Highlights of the Event:**
- FREE slushies for the first 100 entrants!
- Bluey the Duck roaming the venue with lollies
- Walk the Plank on the Pirate Ship
- Small inflatables in the learner pool
- Boat demonstration by the Harbourmaster
- Wave fun in the wave pool
- Lifejacket (PFD) safety demonstration by Coastguard
- Discussion on river safety by Waimarino
- Opportunity to meet our local Olympian hero, Moss Burmester, who won a gold medal in the 200m butterfly and a bronze medal in the 100m butterfly at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
