Last Sunday at MVIC: Restoring Our Rivers with John Crandall
Sunday, July 27, 5:00–6:30 PM, Methow Valley Interpretive Center (always free but donations appreciated)
Join MVIC for a July Last Sunday presentation featuring local freshwater ecologist John Crandall of Methow Salmon Recovery Foundation. In Restoring Our Rivers, John will share insights from over 20 years of stream habitat restoration work in the Methow watershed.
Through compelling stories, data, and visuals, John will explore the "whys, wheres, hows, and whos" behind the many projects aimed at improving conditions for the Methow’s imperiled fish species. Learn how these efforts (ranging from in-stream habitat improvements to broader land and water management strategies) have evolved and what impact they’ve had on the river and its native fish populations.
