Geology Hike at High Cliff State Park

High Cliff State Park is the only state-owned recreational area on Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin's largest lake. The park gets its name from the limestone cliff of the Niagara Escarpment, which parallels the eastern shore of Lake Winnebago.

If you've never visited High Cliff State Park, you will be amazed by the historical and geological wonders you will find. If you've been there before, you surely know what an amazing place it is to explore.

Either way, you're in for a real treat! Dr. Donald Mikulic, curator of the Weis Earth Science Museum, is taking us on a guided geology hike through the park. Dr. Mikulic will explain the history of the park and teach us all there is to know about what makes this location geologically significant.

Our group will meet at the old kiln ruins parking area. Come prepared for a rigorous hike over uneven terrain. There are areas with steep climbs, descents and stairs.

Don't miss this amazing opportunity! Registration closes on Monday, August 4th.
