OBITUARY
Wilhelmina “Nina” Walsh Clausen, 56 of Wallingford, CT went home to be with the LORD, after a brief battle with cancer along with other complications, on July 8, 2025.
Nina was born on January 29, 1969, the daughter of the late Patricia Whitaker Walsh and William Walsh of Cheshire, CT. She attended Cheshire High School and later she received her GED. She studied hard to obtain her CNA then obtained her Certificate as a Medical Assistant.
Later in life, Nina found her soulmate, her husband Scott Clausen of Wallingford. On July 23, 2022, after four years of dating, they were married in Naugatuck at a private family event. They made their home in Wallingford, CT.
Nina was a beloved member of White Oak Baptist Church in Cheshire, CT, where she was baptized as an adult. She and her husband were faithful members, serving their church and she attended the women’s bible study there. Nina loved to go camping with her husband to Maine, Myrtle Beach, Tennessee and vacation in the Dominican Republic. She enjoyed Nascar Racing live at the track and on TV in her backyard.
Nina worked at the Wound Care Center in Meriden, at Masonic Home in Wallingford as a CNA, and at Wallingford Public School. Her favorite pastime was traveling with her husband and being Grandma to her granddaughter Harper Rose.
Nina is survived by her husband, Scott Clausen, her children Breanna Lorusso (Brad), Billie Fournier, Haylie Asmus; stepchildren Deven Clausen (Katie), Amber Villano (Joe), Maranda Clausen, and granddaughter Harper Lorusso; siblings JoAnn Bemus, Cindy Nicholas, Clifford Northrop, Kyla Bilodeau, Yvonne Dunn, William Walsh, and Kathleen Thomas.
Preceding her in death were her parents Patricia Whitaker Walsh and William Walsh, sister Patti Northrop, brother James Northrop and sister Tanya Northrop.
A Celebration of Life for Nina Clausen will be held on Monday, August 4th, 2025, at 6 pm, at White Oak Baptist Church, 120 Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410.
