BASIC ACTING, AUDITION AND CASTING WORKSHOP

This course has been designed to help you create believable performances in camera situations, both for self-tapes and in-person castings and auditions. You can expect to develop your fundamental acting skills such as creativity, imagination, voice, body language, gesture, and facial expression. By the end of the course, you will have greatly improved your on-camera performance skills and become more confident in front of the camera.

The course will cover topics such as TV and Film Industry Theory, creating characters using actions, portraying different emotional states, accurate portrayal of physical styles and executing effective self-tapes and audition techniques.

The course is presented by acting coach Stanimir Stoykov. Stanimir holds a master’s degree in film and television and is currently employed as the Drama and Digital Literacy teacher at Crawford Italia School. He also has extensive experience in the film and television industry, having worked as a Casting Director on commercials, feature films and TV series, and collaborated with South Africa’s award-winning talents such as Robert Whitehead, Grethe Fox, Nomsa Buthelezi, Tamara Dey, Amra Faye Wright and Sibusiso Radebe.
