Pond dipping

Why not borrow a pond-dipping kit to see what beautiful and strange creatures live below the water? Come along to learn about the underwater world with our knowledgeable volunteers to guide you.

A hidden world of bugs and beasties is just waiting to be admired- you should find everything from snails to dragon fly nymphs, diving beetles to phantom midge larvae! Pond-dipping is loved by everyone- so both families and adults of any age are welcome to book on to our guided sessions. Places are limited and pond-dipping is very popular so please book promptly to avoid disappointment.

Please do not bring your own nets or equipment as this poses a contamination risk with organisms from other water bodies, and it is good practice to keep kits separate.
