Hi all !
We’re having our very first home ed meet-up on Thursday 17th July at Painting Pots in Knaresborough, and you’re invited! 🎨☕
This one’s just a chilled morning to say hi, have a cuppa, and meet other home ed families – no crafting just yet. The actual craft group will kick off in August (dates to be confirmed).
Tea and coffee will be on tap, the kids can have a look around, get comfy in the space, and see if it’s something they might enjoy. If crafts aren’t their thing, no worries – we’ll go with the flow and see what they’d like instead. Also no judgement if they have a device on Thursday… we get it.
It’s totally free, but if you’re coming, please book a spot via the Stan Store link so we have an idea of numbers and can check for any dietary needs or allergies.
My daughter (7, autistic) will be there, and my son (12, AuDHD) might come along – broken toe depending! He’s not into crafts, but he’s always up for a brew.
There’s absolutely no pressure for kids (or grown-ups!) to chat or join in – just being there is more than enough. I know how overwhelming things can be, and I want this to feel easy and welcoming.
If you're feeling anxious or want to chat beforehand (about parking, the space, anything at all), please drop me a message. I’m here to help however I can.
Hope to see you there!
Vicky
P.S. – This is just for home ed families / school avoidant 💛
