Witchcraft Today and Lincolnshire Witch Tradition
Dr Anna Milon and Dr Rory Waterman of the Lincolnshire Folk Tales project will explore witchcraft practices today against the tales and legacies of some of Lincolnshire's best-known witches. Anna will delve into the 'damnable practices' of the three Flower women, the so-called 'witches of Belvoir', and Rory will conjure the witch-characters in Byard's Leap and Billy Shuffler and the Witches. Rory and Anna will also read from the 'Lincolnshire Folk Tales Reimagined' anthology, which they co-edited for the Folk Tales project. There will be lots of opportunity to ask questions and to share your own knowledge of Kesteven's occult tales and witch practice today.
