Explore what life was like in the Tudor times and beyond in our family discovery day. Join the scribe to have a go at writing in real ink with a metal nib or make a coin purse to take home. You can also try your hand at swordplay skills with our gallant gentleman. Plus, hear the sounds of the period with the Leeds Waits as they play music on a variety of instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy, pipes and harp.

You can also see the 'Account of Life: Gawthorpe in the 1600s' exhibition, play games in children's corner and explore the rest of the Hall with its historic rooms and textile displays.
