Rhoda Thomas grew up in London and has lived and worked in Wales since 1981, mainly teaching social work, counselling and medical students. She began writing poetry in 2016 and is a member of Wales’ Red Poets. Together with the late activist and poet Tim Evans, Rhoda established the Swansea-based radical poetry performing group Live Poets Society. She has contributed to rallies, vigils, festivals and meetings as well as numerous open mic events in Wales and online in the UK and internationally.
This is her 6th individual poetry collection. She has also published individual poems and articles in anthologies such as ‘Ymlaen!/Onward! radical poetry from contemporary Wales’, ‘Gwrthryfel/ Uprising’ and ‘Land of Change’ (Culture Matters), ‘Coronaverse’ (Roundhead), Socialist Review, 'Ley Lines' by Poets on the Hill, ‘Sinew – 10 years of Poetry in the Brew’ (April Gloaming Publishing, Nashville), in Red Poets' annual collections and their forthcoming ‘Ni Nid Fi/We Not Me’.
