At Peoria Book Rack, we believe every child deserves access to books that inspire, educate, and empower them to dream big. PBR's outreach program, Book Rack Literacy Project, works year-round to buy brand-new books for local students each holiday season. This year Pleasant Hill K-8 won our lottery! We also chose the Southside Mission's Before and After School Program to receive brand new books as well.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and community partners - YOU - this will be our FOURTH year putting hundreds of brand-new books directly into the hands of students in our community. Together, we're helping create brighter futures, one book at a time.
Please join us Sunday, August 24 between 1 pm and 4 pm at Jimmy's Bar as we are going to be GUEST BARTENDERS!!! The tips we receive during this time frame help us reach our goal of purchasing 400 brand new books, as well as a special treat, bookmark and holiday polybag to wrap each book and present them to the students in the most special way possible!
