In this program, children will be introduced to the science of geology! They will examine three different rock types and learn how and where they formed, and will investigate tectonic plates and learn how their movements cause stress on the Earth. They will discover that these movements can cause mountains to form, earthquakes to occur, and volcanoes to erupt, but will also learn about an engineering marvel that protects buildings from tremors. Participants will have the opportunity to assemble a sedimentary stacker to show off their rock-solid knowledge of earth science at home.
