The New Carlisle Farmers Market participates in the Produce Perks Program, which doubles the
purchasing power of low-income shoppers – providing a $1 for $1 match for families
and individuals receiving SNAP (formerly known as food stamps). The match can be
used to purchase fruits and vegetables, stretching SNAP $ for additional healthy
foods.
How It Works
1. Visit the market information booth before you shop.
2. Swipe your Ohio Direction Card for tokens to spend at the market.
3. Double your dollars with up to $25 in Produce Perks tokens.
4. Use your SNAP/EBT tokens to buy SNAP eligible foods and Produce Perks tokens
to buy more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Produce Perks tokens may be used at any participating Produce Perks site. Visit
