Burgers and Brine, not in that order • Monday, July 21st @ 5:45pm for a 6:00 start
Please join us Monday, July 21st for our supported, open water swim with BBQ to follow in the Comox harbour area. Free for members, including food! Non-club members are invited to check us out, with a minimal fee of $5 to participate and eat - this bargain price includes a BBQ!
Arrive at 5:45 pm to be ready to get wet at 6:00. It will be in the salt water - so, bonus, extra buoyancy! After we swim, we eat.
Location: This swim and supper is hosted by Darcy and Carol at their home at 45 Jane Place in Comox. Park in the driveway on the right side, or on the street. Check your route on the day of as there has been construction in and around Jane Place, Stewart Street, and Beaufort Ave. Come right around to the backyard.
Distance: Whatever you are comfortable with - most will swim 1000, 2000, or 3000 metres. Less is also fine, no pressure to do a set course.
Support: We will have club Swim Buddies to borrow, and we are planning to have stand up paddle boards and/or kayakers - additional topside support welcome and encouraged!
Food: We will provide burgers and hot dogs, with veggie options. We ask anyone coming to bring either a salad or a dessert to share.
