Sermon on the 50 yard Line is a Football themed outdoor event with a church service starting at 10:00 AM with a cookout lunch after the Service. Bring a lawn chair.
During the service special guest speaker Jim Morris will share from his life as a faith based coach and mentor. We welcome Jim Morris, a production general manager
by trade and a multi-sport coaching devotee by interest,
as our guest speaker. Jim has decades of experience
working with youth in both football and baseball.
Morris has coached youth tackle football for the past 35
years. He has coached Rocket Football and Cheer since
1995. Coach Morris has been blessed with winning 11
championships.
Jim has also coached high school baseball for 20 seasons,
the last four seasons at Northridge High School. His team
won a conference championship in the NLC. He coached
in two Babe Ruth World Series, placed fifth in the country
in 2002 and second in 2004.
Morris takes 15 minutes to share Jesus with the kids at
every practice. He has taught 4th and 5th graders at
Granger Community Church for 25 years, has run small
groups, has discipled individuals, and has grown their
team.
